The David Bosomworth Endowment for the Arts
David Bosomworth was a strong supporter of every aspect of Arts of the Albemarle – his leadership, profound intellect and passion for making a difference shone through in his support of AOA. He believed strongly in the prospect of making our community a better place in which to live, work and play through vibrant cultural offerings. His passion for music and performance coupled with his love of this community led close friends Blair & George Jackson, wife Phyllis and her parents Pat & Pete Reid to establish the foundation of this endowment in his honor that will benefit the School of the Arts.
AoA’s School of the Arts is entering its 17th year of providing instruction, providing hands-on visual and performing arts activities to more than 200 children and adults annually. It is an ongoing, sequential, program where skills are developed in arts and crafts, drama instruction, chorus, private voice, piano, woodwind, percussion and string instruments. Participants are provided an opportunity to explore and develop confidence in their own creativity, which has proven to be critical in youth development.
Thanks for your part in supporting the David Bosomworth Endowment for the Arts. AOA will be able to continue providing these life enriching opportunities for residents for years to come.
